BONZZAJ MASSIVE
BONZZAJ PRESENT “POOL UP”
Nach langer Pause ist Bonzzaj im Wallis zurück mit einem eigenen Event. Wie vor 4 Jahren haben wir erneut das Schwimmbad Schiffji in Susten als Location gewählt, zumal die letzte Bonzzaj Night dort ein gelungenes Ereignis war. Am 4. September 2010 präsentieren wir euch im Schwimmbad Schiffji die Bieler Soul-Funk-Band "The Lovejoys" sowie unser warhorse "Nemoy", welcher nach den gelungenen Liveauftritten mit seiner Band "Spenzas Overdub Orchestra" und "Stockitown" sich nun an ein Solo-Live-Projekt wagt. Umringt von Keys, Computer, Sampler und allerhand weiteren Instrumenten wird Nemoy das Publikum mit seiner Art von HipHop, Afrobeat, Jazz und Funk für eine schöne Einstimmung auf den Abend verantwortlich sein. Früh kommen lohnt sich also. Und auch bei schlechtem Wetter lohnt sich der Besuch, zumal wir alles daran setzen werden euch im trockenen Tanzen zu lassen. Alles andere als Trocken wird die Getränkeauswahl an unseren beiden Bars sowie das Musikprogramm unserer Bands und DJs sein. Hinter den Plattenspieler für die Musik sorgen unsere Neumitglieder Fuxtus Fux und Sveno / First Season, welcher bald seine ersten Produktionen auf Bonzzaj veröffentlichen wird, sowie die alten Hasen Holmes & die Brüder Studer TM. Als Gast-DJ wird zu später Stunde das Walliser Urgestein "Plaeimobil" die Umkleidekabinen des Schwimmbad "Schiffji" in Rage bringen.

THE LOVEJOYS (live)
The Lovejoys sind fleisch gewordener B-Beat. Als B-Beat bezeichneten die B-Boys der New Yorker Gangszene die Musik, die als Soundtrack für die Art Aktivitäten fungierten, die später unter dem Namen "Hip Hop" die Welt eroberten. Die Lovejoys spielen klassische, alte rauhe instrumentale Funk- und Easy-Listening-Tracks wie das in den 70er Jahren von der Incredible Bongo Band neu konzipierte "Apache" der Shadows, oder "Hit Me Till I'm Blue" der legendären Mohawks.

Tomorrow starts a great festival in Basel called Stadtmusik Festival at the Kunstmuseum with great artist such as Little Dragon, Theo Parrish, IG Culture, Onra, Simbad etc. The Bonzzaj Soundystem and Nemoy (live) will be part of it on Thuesday and Wednesday, 24th and 25th August! First of all, we want to thank our web designer Stefan Arnold (http://www.outline4.ch) for his amazing work on this new website. Here it is! In the next few weeks we will update you with fresh mixes from our DJs and friends. The shop will be updated with new T-Shirts and a brand new Bonzzaj bag! As you see in our Date section, there are a lot of good nights coming up; and new records too, as far as we find enough partners out there to bring them in the shops.
This year we celebrate Bonzzaj's 10th birthday! For this we preparing a special wine from our inhouse wine farmer Wengo. And of course, as we are a label, there will be more inside than a great, with love made, grape juice. Before we harvest we organise the "POOL UP" night on the 4th of September with the Bonzzaj Soundsystem and a great band from Bienne in Susten VS. More infos will follow very soon.
We hope you enjoy our new face, buy our new and old records, listen to our mixes and wear our shirts and bring us all our money for all our bitches and cars! At least, thanks for passing by and keeping your local recordlabel alive!
