Jagged - Biasca EP BON007
A half year after the sucessful release of Jagged's EP "Ten to twelve" on Bonzzaj Recordings, now we present the follow-up single "Biasca" with a remix from Berlin based producer Knarf Skipson, who already released on labels like Quintessentials, Sthml and Deep Vibes. This EP includes four deep, yet raw tracks somewhere between jacking Deep House and Detroit.
Kicking off is the right word because the first track "Biasca" immediately starts with bumpin vibes and lead on in an detroit flavour. Once again you here what the Jagged guys love to play with: analogue equipment and MPC. That's the sound of Jagged.
Knarf shows with his remix his definition of house music: Percussive workouts, old school 4/4 beats and cool vocal samples. Driving rhythms with clear references to the US American house music such like Moodyman, Omar-S or Rick Wade.
The B-Side starter "Guttannen" is for the soul lovers. A vocal house number with the lovely voice of Berne based singer Lily Yellow. Deeper House with wonderful Fender Rhodes and kickin bassdrums and snares.
To close the EP, Jagged made „Varen“, called after a little village in the southern part of Switzerland. Here comes old shit for new times. It's raw, it's Techno and it will surprise you and your dancefloor crowd in the middle of the track. Be prepared.
This record definetly bringing back some dirt, samples and emotions into todays house music. Limited edition as usual...so better what out.
